Heartbreaking news from the UK on Tuesday, November 15, as reports confirmed that a fit and healthy 10-year-old girl died suddenly after collapsing at school.

10-year-old Rai-Lèyah Parveen Saddique died suddenly after she collapsed at school in Wakefield, UK.

After collapsing at school last Wednesday afternoon, the young girl was initially rushed to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield before being transferred to Leeds General Infirmary.

Sadly, the schoolgirl, who had three siblings, died in the early hours of Monday, November 14.

The Janaza Announcements Facebook page shared the news alongside a photo of the youngster.

The Facebook post said: “Hundreds of people attended the funeral of a Wakefield schoolgirl who died after suddenly collapsing at school.

“Rai-Lèyah Parveen Saddique was rushed to hospital after collapsing at school last Wednesday afternoon.

“She was transferred from Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield to Leeds General Infirmary where she died in the early hours of Monday morning.”

A family spokesman said: “She was a hard-working girl who was loved by family and friends.

“Her school was closed today. Students attended (her funeral) and let off balloons.”

Rai-Lèyah Parveen Saddique reportedly died of a brain haemorrhage, Yorkshire Live reports citing the family spokesman.
