On Monday, January 2, 2023, Brockton Police from Massachusetts sadly announced the “untimely passing” of 48-year-old officer Sean Besarick.

Taking to social media, Brockton Police wrote: “With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Brockton Police Officer Sean Besarick, 48.

Officer Besarick, who also served in The United States Navy, “honourably served and protected” the community for 24 years, the police force added.

“Sean will be remembered for his courageous honesty and dearly missed for his light.”

It added: “Our law enforcement family will continue to stand beside and support the Besarick family through this difficult time.

“We remember him for his courageous honesty. RIP.”

Brockton Police added on Facebook that “calling hours are on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm at Russell & Pica Funeral Home. 441 South Main St., West Bridgewater, MA.

“The funeral is at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at St. Ann’s Church, 103 N. Main St., West Bridgewater, MA,” it added.

No cause of death has been released at this time.
